These are just a few notes on accessing these (and any other) Scottish rivers:

The Land Reform Act (Scotland) (2003) provides a statutory right of access to most land and inland water. But this is coupled with several responsibilities:

Respect privacy and property: don't trample over someone's garden or grounds.
Drive carefully and park with consideration: it's obvious you are a boater if you've got them on your roof. Don't drive on private tracks/Forestry tracks without permission.
Don't damage fences/gates/crops: look after the land you are accessing.
Respect anglers: try to wait for signals before passing their lines.

These apply to all who uses the outdoor environment for either work or pleasure.
